Iyengar yoga emphasizes alignment, precision, and the correct form when doing the asana. It is a systematic approach that uses detailed instruction and props to help improve posture, strengthening muscles and bones, and promote physical and mental well-being.


Regular Classes

Level I (1hr, 15 mins)
These classes are for beginners, as well as those who have done yoga but are unfamiliar with the Iyengar style or have lapsed in their practice. The classes cover basic standing and sitting asanas, and preparatory for Inversions, such as Salamba Sarvangasana (shoulder stand). This level is a prerequisite for attending the next class levels.

Level II (75 mins/90mins)
Once you become more or less proficient in the basic classes and are able to come up into Salamba Sarvangasana (shoulderstand) on your own, you may be allowed to join the Level II classes.

Level III (90 mins/120 mins)
Open to more experienced practitioners of Iyengar yoga. Can come up and hold Salamba Sarvangasana for 5 minutes and are familiar with Salamba Sirsasana (headstand) and Urdhva Dhanurasana.

yoga basics

Yoga is preferably practiced on an empty stomach or two hours after a light meal.

You are required to come to classes and workshops in shorts or any attire that shows your knees so the teacher can check that your legs are aligned and working. Please tuck in your shirt.

Please come in a few minutes before class to change. There are two changing rooms in the studio and restrooms on the floor. Please fill out the necessary information form and waiver and sign the attendance sheet before the class/workshop.

Classes start on time. A student runs the risk of being turned away when they come in late. Beginning of the classes are essential as they prepare the practitioner for the main focus of the class (to prevent injury).

In order not to disrupt classes, mobile phones are to be turned off or put in silent mode.

Yoga mats, blankets and other props provided.

Class Cancellations:
Classes at the studio are automatically canceled when:
a. Storm Signal No. 2 is up.
b. Work for government offices are suspended due to heavy rains and flooding.
c. Government declares non-working holidays.
